What is Next Reveal (and what is the browser add-on?)
The Reveal Platform is a next-gen, cloud-native data protection platform. Reveal delivers risk insights and data loss prevention controls for endpoints for its customers.
Information We Collect
- The primary function of this Extension is to provide monitoring and control to organisations of data entering and exiting their corporate infrastructure via web browser.
- This monitoring is strictly for the purpose of enhancing online security by implementing Data Loss Prevention capabilities in relation to browsing activities.
User-Provided Information
- The extension is an integral part of the Next Reveal DLP platform and does not prompt the user to provide data.
Automatically Collected Information
- Web Activity Data: Our DLP software monitors web activity to prevent data loss. This includes collecting information about visited URLs, and the upload / download of files.
- Technical Data: We collect technical information about the customers’ environment, such as browser settings, platform details, and hardware properties.
How We Use Your Information
Handling of data in relation to the use of the reveal platform ( including this extension ) is conducted under both a customer Master Services Agreement (MSA) and Data Processing Agreement ( DPA ) signed with respective customers prior to use.
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain the functionality and service of DLP (Data Loss Prevention) software to licensed customers.
Data Disclosure
- No Sale of Data: We do not sell user data to third parties.
- No Unrelated Transfer: Customers’ data will not be used for purposes that are unrelated to the softwares core functionality unless:
- We have your (the customer’s) explicit consent.
- Next DLP is compelled for a legal reason
Next DLP will not voluntarily disclose data outside of these parameters
Data Retention
- Data retention in relation to the data captured by this extension is governed by commercial contract ( 30 or 90 days).
- In any event, data is not retained for longer than 90 days.
Security
- We take extensive measures to protect customer data, including encryption during data transport and secure storage practices.
- In addition we operate secure coding practices, have an internal product security team and engage in regular penetration testing in support of our continued ISO27001 compliance.
Customer Controls
- Customers of NEXT are able to control and disable the extension as per their preference.
Privacy Policy Changes
Customers will be notified of any updates to this policy.
